"The changes taking place in the world from the mid-1980s are shaking the foundations of Japanese business circles
Many of the eternal truths of the Japanese management system seem to have been brought to the brink of extinction. Why
Firms must recognize their weakness and change many things if they are to survive in the changing environment. But what are they ? And how can they be changed ? This course will discuss the nature of the Japanese firm, focusing on some particular aspect of its internal structure or external relations, and will answer these questions based on what is happening on the actual management scene of firms
It will then explore how to restructure and manage business organizations in a new age where the economy is all the more globally interconnected
The course will be conducted in English
