副題	The Narnia Stories of C. S. Lewis
講義内容	Although this course will focus on Lewisユs Narnia stories, we would like to take a wide view of his philosophy and art. Thus, although the main focus will be the stories, ample references to his other works will be given. Our aim is to investigate Lewisユs ideas about the nature of fairy-tales and storytelling, his use of myth, the meaning of what he called Sehnsucht (longing), the importance of a moral imagination, and other related topics. Since Lewisユs life is intimately related to all that he wrote, we also want to take a good look at his life.
講義計画
評価方法	There will be weekly writing assignments and an essay at the end of the semester.
テキスト	Texts: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Magicianユs Nephew, published by Harper Trophy.
