講義計画 | Unit One - the main actors in education policy Week One - in the classroom: the student and the teacher Week Two - in the school: the teachers Week Three - in the school: administration Week Four - at the school level: the parents Week Five - at the local level: the Board of Education Week Six - at the national level: the Ministry of Education Week Seven - at the national level: the Cabinet, bureaucracy, and public opinion Unit Two - case studies of education issues Week Eight - education innovation: the splendid plan Week Nine - education innovation: the classroom reality Week Ten - issue: school violence and not coming to school Week Eleven - issue: demographic change Week Twelve - issue: teacher education and development Students are expected to prepare before every class. This preparation will be used in class. Preparation may include reading short articles, watching films, interviewing people, reflecting about issues, learning appropriate vocabulary, and preparing for mini-discussions and mini-debates. Class activities include short lectures, guided discussions, short vocabulary tests, role plays in English, mini-discussions and mini-debates, and poster presentations. The classes will be only in English. A good level of English is expected. |
