副題 Approaches to the Postcolonial: Literature, Film, and Theory
講義内容 In this course, students will read literature written in English from previously or currently colonized countries, view recent international films, and explore the ideas of major scholars in the field of Postcolonial Studies (such as Gayatri Spivak, Edward Said, and Homi Bhabha). Discussion and group interaction are essential to the learning process. Students will also have opportunities to formulate their ideas about the works covered in the course by writing short papers.
