授業概要	英語論文の書き方を習得する。テーマを決め、図書館、インターネットなどで資料を検索し、入手した資料を基に一つの論文にまとめる訓練を行う。参考文献の書き方、脚注の付け方、コロン、セミ・コロンの使い方についてなど、英語で論文を書く際の基本的なルールについても学ぶ。
学修目標	This concentrated one-semester course gives training in the documentation skills needed whenever sources are used as the basis of one's writing.
授業計画	Research Writing continues the extended essay writing course offered to second year students. Since the skills of paragraph development and essay organization have already been practiced, Research Writing emphasizes searching for, evaluating, and documenting the information used to develop and support an argument.
評価方法	Evaluation will be based on quality of homework and class assignments.
