Introduction to American Law
授業概要 アメリカ法の入門講義です。アメリカにおける司法制度、憲法、刑法、ビジネス法や判例の読み方、陪審員システム、弁護士の仕事などを紹介していきます。講義は、ロールプレイとグループディスカッションを中心に進めていきます。受講者が裁判官、弁護士あるいは陪審員等に扮し、判例の通りに演じてもらい、再現する事によってよりわかり易く身近に感じてもらう事ができると思います。
This Course will introduce the Fundamentals of American law, with an emphasis on Constitutional, Criminal, and business law. We will read and role-play real cases. Students will get to play the part of lawyers, prosecutors, and judges.
学修目標 １．アメリカとイギリスの司法制度の理解。２．法律的な議論の作り方を理解。
The objectives of this course are two fold. First, students will gain a basic understanding of the American and to a lesser extent common law legal systems. Second, students will learn how to form and defend legal arguments.
