副題	Literature and the British Empire The Empire Comes Home: Buchi Emecheta and the Immigrant Experience
講義内容	Seminar III and IV focus on the fictionalized experiences of colonial subjects in the metropolitan center. In this semester we will take up the fiction of Buchi Emecheta, a Nigerian woman living in London.
学修目標	The aim of this seminar is to develop the students' ability to read and interpret fiction critically. We will also begin the process of preparing the final graduation research paper.
講義計画	In this semester the focus of the seminar will shift to individual research projects. Each week individual students will make progress reports on their projects. Attention will also be paid to the mechanics of preparing a research paper. Weekly schedule will be determined in the first class.
評価方法	Grades will be determined by completion of the research project.
