講義内容 | This course introduces the student to the English used in business situations such as telephoning, negotiating and presenting to a group. It covers both spoken and written language skills and makes extensive use of simulations, role-plays and in - class interaction so active participation is essential. Upon completion of the course students will be able to participate in basic business interactions in English both competently and courteously. |
学修目標 | The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with the vocabulary of business; the different forms of written business communications; and the different skills required in business such as telephoning, taking part in meetings, negotiating and socializing. |

評価方法 | Evaluation will be a negotiated process, with the following factors being considered: quantity and quality of class participation; quantity and quality of assignments; and quality of the final project. There will be outside reading required and homework assigned every class. Every student will be required to complete a final report or project after consultation with the instructor. There will be no final examination. |
