副題 Cultural Backgrounds in Language Transfer
講義内容 This course aims at looking at the cultural, social, historical aspects involved in the transfer of a text from one language to another. Instead of trying to acquire one メbasicモ theory of translation, we will consider actual text transferred (i.e., メtranslatedモ) and ask why that certain メwordモ, メphraseモ, or メclauseモ was selected.
