講義内容 A survey of developments in major world economies, especially Japan. Different kinds of capitalism will be examined historically, and their relationship to the cultural values of particular countries will be explored a little.
学修目標 The objective is to improve students' understanding of economic thinking in English through exposure to economic language, and by providing the social and historical context for economics.
講義計画 The development of Western economics; Japan since the 1980s.
評価方法 Class participation, homework and final exam.
