副題 BUSINESS ETHICS
講義内容 This is an introductory basic course in business ethics. The course provides resources and frameworks for ethical decision-making that have gained currency among academic ethicists and business practitioners, and apply them to specific business issues and case studies in the student’s area of interest or field of study, such as in personnel management, marketing, finance, and international business. Students will also explore and process their own personal value systems, gaining insights from the examples of ethical business leaders and corporate best ethical practices. Classes will be conducted both in Japanese and in English.
学修目標 1. To develop moral awareness of complex ethical issues and dilemmas in the workplace both in Japan and in international business setting.
2. To develop basic knowledge and understanding of ethical frameworks and principles for business offered by          academic ethicists and business practitioners.
3. To develop ethical decision-making skills for effective management and healthy organizational environment.
4. To rediscover, sensitize and reinforce one’s personal value systems, attitudes, and commitment.

評価方法 Attendance and active in-class participation (30%), short written assignments (30%), and group project: presentation and report (40%).
テキスト No particular textbook, but readings and case studies will be announced later or distributed in class.
その他 The instructor reserves the right to modify the course outline and manner of evaluation depending on the pace and needs of the students. This class is collaborative. Students are expected to contribute to class content.
