This course will focus on learning practical English that the students can use to communicate in every day situations. They will learn skills that will help them to speak with native speakers of English to express their thoughts and feelings during casual conversation, when giving or asking for directions, when making plans, and when asking for information. Speaking English in such situations as eating in restaurants, shopping, enjoying sports, music, hobbies, work, etc. will be featured. We will use a variety of approaches: music, games, group work, video, story telling, some reading and writing to create an enjoyable class atmosphere that will enable the students to learn and practice English in a positive way. Students should come to class prepared to actively participate and interact with the other students and the teacher as we work together to advance our English communication skills.
