副題 North American Cultural Perspectives Immersion Program 2008
授業概要 This course will focus on the post-war culture of North America through popular media including art, fashion, film and TV, food, literature, music, and sports. The student will demonstrate his/her understanding by giving a presentation on a related topic on the last day. Since this course requires individuals to produce much work in a short period of time and all in English, a minimum TOEIC score of 700 is required. Also, knowledge of world history would be useful.
学修目標 There are 2 main aims for this course. The first is to develop cross-cultural understanding. The second is to present it for 10 minutes in English clearly using public speaking and academic research skills.
