【授業概要】
In this course, students will
have the opportunity to study and to practice the English skills that can help
them function in a business environment. This will include business English for
use in formal situations, such as business meetings, negotiations, telephoning,
discussing projects, and giving presentations. Since business is very much a
“social art,” the class will also include practice and exercises in less formal
situations, such as meeting people, making small talk, talking about yourself,
talking about other people, and describing events. Finally, you will have the
opportunity to learn a variety of set expressions that are often used in
business, such as when talking on the phone, when taking or leaving messages,
or in expressing agreement or disagreement.
As much as possible, I will
try to design the course to the needs and the goals of the students who take
part in the course. Classes will be conducted in English.
【到達目標】
The goal of this class is to help students improve their
spoken English in informal discussions and in more formal business situations.
Students will have the opportunity to improve their English fluency, to expand
their English vocabulary, and to increase their confidence in using the
language.
