授業概要 | It was during the Romantic period that a recognizably modern consumer culture was born. Through a series of short essays on sport, shopping, and theatre, students will learn to make connections between English Romantic culture and modern society. |

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) | Before the very start of the course, you are expected to do enough work to come up with two different research topics. Each of these topics must be accompanied by a 150-word summary. During the spring semester, you are expected to do at least 3 hours of research a week in order to finalize the topic of your graduation thesis. You are expected to make a 10-minute presentation on your graduation thesis by week 13. |
評価方法 | Your final grade for this course is made up of: ・A 1,000-word graduation thesis (80%) ・Oral presentations (20%) |
