授業概要 This is an activity based class in Business English. Active participation is required from all students. The class will provide students with a basic knowledge of international business culture and give students a chance to practice the basic sentence patterns they learn in class. The course will also provide students with the necessary skills to conduct typical business activities such as negotiations, presentations and designing business strategy, etc.
学修目標 The objective of this course is to help students communicate and articulate the basic terms and practices used in international business in both a formal and informal setting.
授業計画 The focus of this course will be directed at the four main areas of Business English competency: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, with spesial emphasis on Listening. Each business situation based unit also introduces related vocabulary and grammar structures as part of the lesson.
Students are strongry advised to bring a dictionary, pencils and paper to class. Speaking activities will consist of pair work and group activities.
授業時間外の学習（準備学習など） To be announced in the first class.
評価方法 Student assessment will be based on attendance, daily participation and final report.
Passing grades will be: A, B, or C. Students with 4 or more absences will be withdrawn from the class.
