授業概要 | 企業や公共団体が商品のプロモーションやメッセージの浸透を効果的に達成する上で、コミュニティ(消費者)と多次元においてコミュニケーションを取ることが有効である。この「多次元的コミュニケーション」を可能にするひとつの手段として「イベント」が広く活用されるようになってきた。この授業では、ビジネスイベントの企画、その実施に向けての交渉術、およびそれぞれにおける実際のプロセスを英語で学ぶ。学生は、グループごとにテーマを決めて英語のリサーチをし、そのリサーチをベースに講演会やイベント等の企画を英語で発表し、実現を前提にした英語での交渉術を学ぶ。授業は全て英語で行われるため、TOEICで700点レベルの英語力が必要である。 |
学修目標 | By completing this course,the student will be able to: 1. explain various characteristics and effectiveness of corporate/marketing events. 2. write event proposals for small events. 3. write a simulated event schedule and event day timeline. 4. understand basic contractual concepts and terms. 5. understand the importance of basic negotiation skills in the planning stage. 6. present a simulation of a research-based event. 7. actually plan a real event and execute it! |

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) | Read the sections specified in the weekly class schedule. Where assignments are specified, make sure you submit them on time. Event Journal assignments take time, so make sure you start working on them sufficiently early. |
評価方法 | Students are expected to attend class every week. Attendance is taken in every class, and if you miss 3 classes, you will get an F. If you miss more than one-third of the total number of class meetings, you will receive an S for excessive absences as stated in the university attendance guideline. Attendance, class participation (incl. presentations, assignments): 30% Event observation journal: 40% Final event proposal: 30% (Due date: to be announced) IMPORTANT: You will get an X for failing to meet the event proposal deadline. |
