This course will build on what students learned in their first year. Students will work at using the structures of writing they have already learned, and analysis of sample paragraphs in the text, to produce well-formed pieces of writing. They will also work on an interview project.

PDStudents develop the skills to write English using English patterns of composition, rather than translating.
QDStudents apply the English vocabulary and grammar they already know to produce practical and useful work.
RDStudents learn to overcome the limitations of Japanese computer systems, to produce visually correct English writing.

In addition to the work necessary to complete the final project, students will work on completing the topics in the textbook. The first weekfs work will be reading, analysis of patterns and production of examples. The second weekfs work will be production of the studentfs own paragraph.
