【副 題】
Learning to Use, Enjoy, and Understand Media in Our Lives
【授業概要】
Students explore ways to use and enjoy many forms of media, primarily through the Internet. Students learn how and where to find information on a wide variety of topics. Activities and projects ask students to analyze this information and develop critical reading, viewing, and thinking skills. Throughout the course, students keep a blog in which they record and reflect on the highlights of their learning about media. They periodically show their blogs to other students in the course. In these ways, it is hoped, students may gain an understanding of the functions of media in society and the influence of media on their lives. The class meets in a computer room and is conducted entirely in English.
【学修目標】
Students experience a variety of media, in print and online. The many research projects and listening, writing, and presentation activities in this course encourage students to think deeply about the impact of media on their lives.
