授業概要 This course is designed to help students improve their spoken English. Classes will include a variety of spoken exercises, including pair-work, small group discussions, role plays and small presentations. Being able to control the beginning of a conversation, express yourself and conclude the conversation is the main focus of this course.
学修目標 1. To use conversation strategies and control conversations
2. Have a conversation in English for 5 minutes or more
3. To be able to learn vocabulary and use it
4. To be able to discuss day to day topics in English adequately
5. To be able to express opinions about academic issues

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) Students will be given weekly lists of vocabulary to learn along with periodic longer reflective written reports. Preparation for each class as well as for the two graded conversations will also be compulsory.

その他 Attendance: Students are expected to attend class regularly. Students who miss 6 classes will receive an F. Students who fail to do the Final Conversation will receive an X.
