授業概要	The main objective of this course is improve communication skills and to provide students with enough practice to feel comfortable using English in functional daily activities and to express their opinions on a number of topics. Most classroom activities will focus on practicing English knowledge already acquired and gaining confidence in daily practical situations
学修目標	● Be able to explain and discuss lifestyles, hobbies and background ● Properly use and be able to differentiate simple present, present progressive, past, present perfect and future tense ● Through active listening activities, improve listening comprehension and become familiar with a more advanced level of everyday English ● Acquire a higher degree of confidence when discussing cultural and academic areas of interest
授業計画	Week １： Summer vacation, Frasier introduction Week ２-３：Does Love last Forever & Dogs and Lovers reading, discussion Frasier： Niles meets Daphne Week ４： Emotions, Frasier, Dad meets Eileen Week ５： Entertainment, Discussing Free time and lifestyles Week ６： describing places, travel talk Week ７： Culture discussions Week ８-９：Whatユs Japanese, talking about Japan and Japanese culture Week 10-11：Holidays, Frasierユs Christmas Week 12-13：Cross-cultural issues, using the film, ヤJoy Luck Clubユ Week 14： Quiz on film and cultural issues Week 15： Review
授業時間外の学習（準備学習など）	Students will have to prepare for the communication activities for the following class, so please do your assignments as you will be less prepared to participate.
評価方法	Class room participation 30%, Homework 30%, Final Report 40%
テキスト	There will be no textbook, we will use handouts, songs and video clips. Teacher will provide all materials.
