授業概要	This class aims to improve reading proficiency and to ultimately give students the confidence and ability to read texts designed for native speakers. Students will increase their reading speeds, broaden and deepen their vocabulary, learn to make use of linguistic relationships to guess words from context and employ strategies to identify the writerユs purpose. In addition to these, they will also learn how to predict outcomes, see relationships, draw conclusions and complete both intensive and extensive reading activities.

授業時間外の学習（準備学習など）	Students are expected to study vocabulary from the textbook, preview the unit and do assigned homework tasks for each unit, read graded readers and write book summaries.
