授業概要 This course will provide students with a variety of listening strategies such as recognizing intonation, rhythm, and stress to improve English listening comprehension. Students will be exposed to listening materials which may include audiotapes or videos of lectures, news items or conversations, songs, movies and plays to promote student interest, and to broaden students, exposure to English. Activities may include listening for gist, note-taking, and dictation.
学修目標 The course will use a variety of listening materials including a textbook as well as a DVD to stimulate interest and provide foundations for discussion. The students should be able to identify key expressions, main ideas, and supporting details by the end of the semester.

・Punctuality — Students will be expected to be on time for class. Being late three times will be equal to one absence.
