授業概要	This course will help you improve upon your listening skills. On alternate weeks you will work with your textbook, listening to CD recordings; every other week you will watch and listen to a drama series on DVD. You will also do a grammar dictation every week for ten weeks, writing it in your dictation notebook along with your 25 word response (notebook writing only−no loose pieces of paper will be accepted). The syllabus is topic, task, and skills-based.
学修目標	Students will be able to understand and complete 2-5 minute listening tasks on various topics. Students will be able to listen for gist when viewing class DVD,s. Students will successfully use note-taking strategies when doing dictations. Students will be able to summarize the main ideas and supporting details after listening to 2-5 minute CD recordings.

その他	Attendance: Students are expected to attend class regularly. Students who miss 4 classes will receive an F. Students who fail to turn in the final report by the deadline will receive an X.
