授業概要 This course will provide students with a variety of listening strategies such as recognizing intonation, rhythm, and stress to improve English listening comprehension. Students will be exposed to listening materials which may include audiotapes or videos of lectures, news items or conversations, songs, movies and plays to promote student interest, and to broaden students, exposure to English. Activities may include listening for gist, note-taking, and dictation.
学修目標 Students will become more confident about the listening they do inside and outside the classroom. They will feel more confident in real-life situations when they are speaking English, and will be able to listen and respond to these everyday situations.

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) Homework assignments include summarising the stories we listen to in class and listening to various materials on the internet or in other media. Every class includes dictation.
