授業概要 The purpose of this class is to improve your English language skills by focusing on listening. In this class you will hear a variety of authentic listening, and practice strategies that will help you develop your English skill.

Attendance is required and absences will affect your grade. Being more than 20 minutes late equals an absence. Being late three times equals one absence. IF YOU ARE ABSENT FOUR TIMES OR MORE, YOU WILL FAIL THIS CLASS!
Homework is due at the beginning of the next class after it has been assigned. If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to find out the assignment and complete the homework.
Participation is a required part of this course. Active participation leads to better learning, higher fluency, and is more enjoyable for teachers and students.
学修目標 １. Students will be able to complete a 50-100 word dictation.
２. Students will improve listening strategies to increase comprehensibility.
３. Students will learn how to recognize and use linked sounds, listen for global ideas, specific information, and / or speaker's mood and intentions.
４. Students will improve their English vocabulary.

授業時間外の学習（準備学習など） Students are expected to do all homework assigned. Students are expected to prepare themselves physically and mentally to be able to engage in class activities in the English language.

その他 Please be on time and attend class regularly, participate in class activities and do all of your homework. If you do these things, you can improve your English level, and enjoy this course.
