授業概要 This course will focus on post-war culture in North America through popular media, especially film. The student will contribute by giving a PowerPoint presentation on a related topic, such as art, fashion, TV, food, literature, music, sports, etc., on the last day, so personal laptops with Microsoft Office installed are needed (Macs are acceptable as well). Since this course requires individuals to produce much work in a short period of time all in English, a minimum TOEIC score of 500 is also required. Please note that this is a five-day and four-night sleepover at the Nanzan Kensyu Center, and the approximate cost is 22,000 yen with meals included.
学修目標 There are two main aims for this course. The first is to develop cross-cultural understanding. The second is to present clearly for at least ten minutes in English using public speaking and academic research skills.
