授業概要 | This course is designed for students who have some conversational skills and have mastered basic English grammar. This course aims to increase students' pre-advanced competence in both spoken and written English and to raise their confidence in the presentation format. This course also provides the chance for students to utilize their English holistically to create a common project. Over the five-day period students will learn how to gather information, have meaningful discussions and design an effective presentation for a particular audience. Students are required to stay at the Nanzan Kensyu Center for the duration of the program. The cost of all meals and lodging are approximately ¥22,000. The final project will involve students creating and developing an original sales pitch for a particular product. Students will research using the Internet, the library and any other means accepted by the instructor. A 15-minute "pitch" presentation will be given in front of all other participants (who will act as the clients). The "client" will deliberate whether the presenting team will land the contract. |
