授業概要 This course will focus on digital literacy, social media and web 2.0. The student will contribute by giving a presentation on a related topic, using one of the technological applications discussed, so personal laptops (Mac or PC) are necessary. Since this course requires individuals to produce much work in a short period of time all in English, a minimum TOEIC score of 500 is also required. A basic level of computer skill is also required (email, internet search engines). Please note that this is a five-day and four-night stay at the Nanzan Kensyu Center, and the approximate cost is 22,000 yen with meals included.
学修目標 There are two main aims for this course. The first is to develop an understanding of how new technologies such as social media and mobile devices are changing society. The second is to present clearly for at least ten minutes in English using public speaking and academic research skills.

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) Students are expected to work all day on various projects, especially the preparation of their presentation.
評価方法 ● Participation - 30%
● Final Presentation - 35% - Late or absent students receive 0%.
● Report (based on presentation) - 35% - Late or no report = X

その他 Students who are absent for more than 1 full day will fail.
