副題 Romantic Prose IV: Travel Writing
授業概要 An important new development in English society was the rapidly increasing opportunities that people had to travel and experience other cultures and ways of life. This had a profound effect on English intellectual life. Studying the travel writing of the country's men and women will not only make this influence plain, it is also an opportunity to look at internationalisation and the effects of internationalisation in embryonic form.
学修目標 By the end of this course you should have completed a 4,000-word graduation thesis in your chosen field of study.

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) Before the very start of the course, you are expected to complete another 1,000 words for your graduation thesis. During the autumn semester, you are expected to do at least 4 hours of research and writing each
week in order to complete the final 2,000 words of your graduation thesis by week 10.
評価方法 Your final grade for this course is made up of:
・4,000-word graduation thesis(50%)
・10 assessed pieces of homework(30%)
・Oral Presentations (20%)
