授業概要 Seminar III-IV continues to focus on the fictionalized experiences of colonial subjects in the metropolitan center.
学修目標 The aim of this seminar is to develop the students' ability to read and interpret fiction critically. We will also begin the process of preparing the final graduation research paper.

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) 1. Students will be required to read the assigned chapters of the novel under discussion before coming to class. They will, as well, be required to prepare questions for discussion.
評価方法 In Seminar III grades will be determined by class participation (70%) and by a final report (30%). In Seminar IV grades will be determined by class participation and attendance (50%) and successful completion of the final research paper (50%) [Note] Attendance : Students will be expected to attend every class.
