副題 Food Cultures of the World - Investigating what we eat
授業概要 In this course, students will investigate the social and cultural reasons for our food choices and examine food’s relationship to religion, ethnicity, social class, health, love and medicine.
学修目標 The aims of the course are for students to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the social and cultural forces that shape the food that people eat in different places around the world. Time will also be spent looking at recipes and comparing cooking styles, table manners and typical diets.
