授業概要 This course offered in Spring semester introduces students to the complex, competitive, and networked global business environment. In order to adapt smoothly and manage effectively in a foreign assignment, managers and international firms must have a deeper knowledge and understanding of the business, political, economic and cultural environment. Students will research and report significant business practices and other basic information about a particular country in the different economic zones, such as APEC, EU, NAFTA, MERCOSUR, and AEC. Lectures, assignments, and presentations will be in English.
学修目標 1. To develop awareness and understanding of an increasingly complex global business environment, and the       issues, challenges, and opportunities that it raises.
2. To develop knowledge of some theories of international business and their implications for management.
3. To develop frameworks and skills to effectively manage in a globalizing business environment.
4. To develop sensitivity to cultural and religious differences within the business organization both in the domestic and international setting.

授業時間外の学習(準備学習など) 1.Following the course outline, students are not required, but are encouraged to read assigned materials (to
   be explained during the first two class meetings) and to prepare for active class participation.
2.Short and easy assignments and other course requirements done outside the classroom will be decided
  only after consultation with the students.
評価方法 Class Participation (30%), Quizzes and Short Written Assignments (30%), Individual or Team Presentation and Final Report (40%)
