副題 Business and Consumer Behavior
授業概要 This course is designed to allow students to understand the interplay between experience and reason in the business world. Students will examine both rational and irrational human behavior as it occurs in the marketplace. While the course examines basic economic concepts, (such as supply and demand, incentives, scarcity, price fixing), the topics include how people operate using qualities such as fairness, equality, and sacrifice. The course examines economic concepts and real life situations to illustrate how consumers operate in the business world.

Each week there is a topic from the text along with supplemental material that encourages students to work in groups to analyze given situations. As such, this is largely a discussion course that will help students improve their English so that they may become better equipped to deal with more advanced topics in their field.
