授業概要 This course introduces students to cultural theory in the hope that they will learn how to write in a more theoretically conscious manner. They will also learn about conference presentations.
学修目標 By the end of this course, you should have an increased awareness of the culture of academic writing and the ability to present a 20-minute conference paper in a clear and organized manner.

テキスト Cheryl Glenn, Hodgesユ Harbrace Handbook (Boston, Thomson, 2007)
その他 You must bring these things to class:
 ・Textbook
 ・An A4-sized folder with at least 40 pockets
 ・A dictionary(this may be a book or electronic)
By week 9 : a question that you can answer with a 1,000 - word research essay.
Students wishing to take this course should have at least TOEIC 800 or TOEFL 550.
