講義計画 Communication in English will reinforce Oral Communication learning through recycling first-year activities as well as having students give presentations and speeches in small and large groups, practice negotiation and persuasion skills, as well as seminar-style questioning and discussion. Students will work both with textbooks and other materials distributed by the teacher, and with audio and videotapes in the classroom.

The semester will consist of 5 modules, focused around selected themes, with each module covered in a two to three week period.

　　　　Module 4: HIV/AIDS
　　　　Module 5: News Blackout
　　　　Final Presentations
　Language Lab (LL): In each 90-minute Communication in English class, 45 minutes will be spent in the language laboratory with the emphasis on various aspects of listening comprehension, note-taking, and pronunciation using commercially prepared listening and video courses as well as actual television broadcasts and movies. Tests, homework, and attendance in the LL are combined with results in the Communication section to determine the course grade.
