授業概要 　In this course, students will be expected to expand on the skills they practiced in Writing in English Iand II with the goal that they develop a greater ability to recognize good writing and to become more competent writers of essays in English themselves.
学修目標 　By the end of this course, students should be able to plan and write a short essay in a variety of discourse styles.
授業計画 Week 1 Introduction to the course and computer skills
Week 2-5 Module 1 Comparison and Contrast
Week 6-9 Module 2 Cause and Effect
Week 10-13 Module 3 Evaluation
Week 14 General Summary and Reflection on Course
授業時間外の学習（準備学習など） Study and preparation time outside of classes will vary from week to week depending on the assignment. The instructor will give adequate notice of any due assignments well in advance as well as advice on how long they
will take to complete, and will ensure that students are not given excessive workloads.
