授業概要 This course will provide students with a variety of listening strategies such as recognizing intonation, rhythm, and stress to improve English listening comprehension. Students will be exposed to listening materials which may include audiotapes or videos of lectures, news items or conversations, songs, movies and plays to promote student interest, and to broaden students, exposure to English. Activities may include listening for gist, note-taking, and dictation.

2. Identify and summarize the main meaning or theme and supporting details from 2-5 minute listening tasks
3. Identify key words and specific information
4. Infer the speaker,s intentions
5. Understand linked sounds and intonation
6. Listen for gist
7. Do short dictations of approximately 50-75 words
