【授業概要】

service Program lasting three weeks or longer in a country of the student's own choosing.

【学修目標】

an area requiring volunteer service, and how an international group of students can work together to solve problems.

【授業計画】

1^st Meeting) Choose a CIEE program and begin filling out required English Department documents.

2^nd Meeting)  What is Volunteerism? What is Service? History of Volunteerism?

3^rd Meeting) Working in an international group

4^th Meeting) What is reflection? Why is it important?

5^th Meeting) Problem solving in small groups.

6^th Meeting) Final check of all preparation documents and plans. All documents must be handed in to Junior College Office.

3 weeks or more of participation in a CIEE volunteer program.

7^th Meeting) Sharing our experiences. What did I do? What did I learn?

8^th Meeting) Final individual reports and group reflection. Hand in daily and weekly reflection journal and final report.

9^th Meeting) Presentations about CIEE experiences.

Daily, weekly, and final reflection assignments Working time should not exceed one hour per day.

【評価方法】

attendance at all pre-program classes, completion of daily and weekly reflection journal entries while abroad, final reflection report upon return to Japan, and
