With the money received I could buy the equipment I applied for. So the
money was very helpful. Because of the shortenings I could not buy the
Microsoft office suite in German language, but I downloaded the free office
suite OpenOffice, which is available in nearly every language and works
seamlessly together with the Japanese MS Windows. I can recommend this
office suite for everyone and will give advice to everyone who is interested. |

For the future: I will going on to proceed in research about IT enhanced
learning environment. As a first outcome I will cope with Mr.Kazuaki Satomura,
who is a professor of 成蹊大学 in Tokyo. We will do together a 3 years project
that is closely connected to my research: teaching German by using a tutor
based web environment. I hope there will be some outcomes for the students
of Nanzan as well. |
At the conference in Austria I learned that Networked Learning Environment
(NLE) is already widespread among universities around the globe. In my
opinion it will become more and more important in the near future.Nanzan
university should not stand apart and should provide the teaching staff
an international recognized web teaching environment like Blackboard, Moodle
or Sharepoint, which are already proven by a lot of universities. |
