Notice Regarding the Enrollment Extension System

 

In response to changes in government regulations regarding the certification of Japanese language education institutions, Nanzan University has decided to change the Enrollment Extension System effective for students entering in the Fall 2026 semester.

Currently, students who wish to extend their enrollment into the next semester may apply and, by meeting the necessary requirements, extend their enrollment.

However, to comply with the new regulations, the option to extend enrollment from the Spring semester to the Fall semester will be discontinued for students entering in the Fall 2026 semester.

Please note the following:

• Students enrolling in the 2025-2026 academic year will continue to have the option to apply for an enrollment extension for up to a maximum of two years.
• Students entering in the Fall 2026 semester or later who are enrolled as exchange students, including fee-paying students based on the exchange agreement, will be eligible to apply for an extension only from the Fall semester to the Spring semester, provided they maintain their status as exchange students during the extended period.
