The intership at Matsukawaya Rouho

The international students from the NU-COIL partner universities and a Japanese Nanzan student who studied abroad visited "Matsukawaya Rouho" in Sakae, Nagoya. This is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop which has a branch in Washington DC.
At first, they learned about the tradition and the culture of Japanese confectionery such as the meaning of color of these. Then, they took a factory tour and experienced the making of Japanese confectioneries. They had a very interesting time by witnessing the skills of Japanese confectioners. They also learned about the culture and beliefs of Matsukawaya Rouho and some of business manners required in business in Japan.
