Two Purdue students participated in internships at DMG Mori Seiki Co., Ltd. in Illinois, USA. In the morning, an American staff introduced them the facility (showroom), and they saw the latest machine tools and the meeting of the local employees. In the afternoon, they had a talk with a Japanese expatriate and a person who has worked in both Japan and the United States, and also introduced each department.

Through this internship experience, students learned that it is important to have an interest in a wide range of fields, not just what they are interested in. They also became interested in working overseas by listening to the opinions of employees who actually work in the United States.
