Studied at University of Maryland, Baltimore County

I decided to study abroad because I wanted to brush up my oral communication skill in English rather than reading and writing. I contacted American students using the LINE application prior to the departure. We used both English and Japanese to tell each other where we want to go in the U.S. and Japan. It was meaningful that I could communicate with them in advance, especially given that it was my first time to go abroad. It was also a relief that the staff of the Center for International Affairs at Nanzan are all so helpful, guiding me through the program to the end. When I was studying at university in the U.S., I was so impressed that students were actively involved in classes, seriously trying to achieve their career and life goals.
