I came to Japan in order to improve my Japanese language ability and travel to places in Japan I had always wanted to see. However, it become much more than that. I met many good friends at my dorm and through my classes that I was able to share my experiences with. I went many places and had many experiences I would not have had otherwise without them. I was invited on a whim to visit Takayama over a weekend where it had snowed a ton and it was an unforgettable experience that I never would have planned myself. Being able to share your experiences and struggles with others makes them so much more meaningful.
