Library Learning Commons➀➁ (3F) (Nanzan University students and faculty staff)
This is a shared learning space which students can use for free discussion.
It can be used when a space is required to prepare small-group seminars, group discussions or presentations. It is possible to have conversations, but please do so within the bounds of good manners so as not to disturb other users.
【Rules for Use】
- Opening hours: 9:00am to 45 minutes before the Library closes.
- No application for use is required in advance.
- Please arrange the space as you see fit to suit the number of people involved. The partitions can be moved. Please ensure that everything is returned to its original location after use.
- When using audio-visual materials, please ensure that you adjust the volume appropriately to avoid bothering other Library users.
- It is forbidden to talk in an unnecessarily loud voice about things other than study.
- Eating and drinking is not permitted.
- Cannot be used in classes.

Seminar Room (1F)
It is possible to use the Seminar Room when holding a class in which library materials are to be used.
This room holds 60 people.
Media Room(2F)
There are CDs, DVDs, microfiches, micro-reels of sound and images (non-book materials).The equipment required to view or listen to these materials is provided. Only Library materials may be viewed.
All users can use the Audio-Visual Corner. However, please note that restrictions may be placed on use by members of the general public when the Library is particularly busy, such as during times when examinations are being held.
Method of Use
- No procedure is required to use the booths.
- CDs, DVDs and videos held in the Library can be listened to or viewed freely here. (It is not possible to use this area for viewing personally-owned DVDs).
- Please place the case of the item that you are listening to or viewing on top of the desk. (Staff members will occasionally check.)
- Once you have finished listening to or viewing the item, please place it on the book returns trolley.
- Items cannot be taken out of the Library.
- If you leave belongings unattended for a long period of time they may be moved to the Service counter (Circulations).

NEWS Corner (2F)
Approximately 40 newspapers from Japan and other countries.
Photocopiers (1F & B1F)
There are coin-type and pre-paid card-type photocopiers.
The cost is 10 yen per page for monochrome and 20 yen per page for color. Receipts are not issued.
Materials held in the library may be copied within the limits of what copyright law permits, which is one copy per person.
Please submit a copy request form and do your photocopying.
There will be occasions when, regardless of copyright law, photocopying will not be permitted because of the condition of the materials.
Photocopying may only be done for Library materials. Please refrain from copying lecture notes etc.

Copyright Law (Article 31 Reproduction in libraries, etc.)
When providing a single user of the library, etc. with a single copy of a part of a work that has been made public (or the whole of a work that has been made public, if it is an individual work that has been printed in a periodical and a considerable period of time has elapsed since its publication) in response to the user's request and for the purpose of the user's research or studies.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi access is available in the Library, but a Nanzan University AXIA account is required in order to use it.
